First Time Blogging

So, it occurred to me, while writing the word blogging that it sounds a lot like some sort of physical activity...or even an exciting adventure sport (running, biking, kayaking...even spelunking, etc.). Well, in this case the new adventure happens to be Mindy and my journey into parenting (at times this seems as daunting as heading into a huge cavern with out much training or equipment...do we have enough onesies?...what in the world is a onesie?...do we use it once?...). The exciting news is that we are due in about a month and thought we could start putting thoughts and photos onto the sight before the baby actually gets here. From what I hear we won't have a lot of time to be messing around with a new fangled "blog", especially when we don't have a good grasp on what a stalagmite or a stalactite is, or what we are even looking for. Okay...for those of you like my wife who are not getting the metaphor...spelunking- otherwise known as caving...caves have stalagmites...comparing that adventure to pregnancy...whoah (I know, waaaay too much Discovery channel).

The truth, we want you to share in our adventure! We want you to check back often and look for new pictures or stories that we find humorous or interesting (remember humorous, because we are very funny people and our little critter will be by default!...okay so we think we are hilarious). You may not know all the references to our jokes, but we give you permission to poke someone sitting next to you and guffaw. It also helps to wink and point at your computer screen to convince everyone you are in the loop. Anyway, here is to a great journey! We invite all of to join in the ride (it may be bumpy and at times we may ask you to throw us a rope to help us up), but it is also going to be awesome.

Thanks for checking in with us...come back soon!
God's speed...
Mindy and Matt

  1. Great analogy! Looking forward to meeting the little guy.

PS - Sometimes you do use onesies just once!
