He is home!!!

Jensen has arrived to his house! We were so excited to leave the NICU at 7 PM on Monday. We are not saying the staff and especially the nurses weren't the best, because they were, but it feels good to walk through our door with him in tow. St. Luke's did a great job and we were so impressed with most all of the nurses and feel we picked the best hospital for us.

We are tired and know now that rest might not be in our immediate future (a deep breath of relief has been taken though). Thanks to everyone who was thinking of us and put the word out to pray! It shows that prayers do help.

Thanks again!
Matt, Mindy & Jensen

  3. YEAH!! Congrats on bringing him home, such a relief!! Great to hear that he is doing much better. Sleep when he does, you are going to need it and just enjoy sitting and holding him, don't worry about anything else. remember this quote (1 of my favorites)
    "Quiet down cobwebs,
    Dust go to sleep.
    I am rocking my baby,
    'cuz babies don't keep".

    love ya, Jen

  4. My timing to call you last night couldn't have been worse. We hadn't checked your blog and had no idea the journey you have been on the past week. May you find peace and be at rest knowing he is well and at home.....waking up to feel the sunshine, in his own crib, seeing the beautiful world God has created for him.

    Love,
    Jen T.

  5. So happy you are home. What do the dogs think? Spend lots of time snuggling - everything else can wait!
